JANUARY NEWS
Hey all! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope 2006 is a wonderful year for you, your very best yet! :D
As you will notice, I never got around to a 'December News - Part II' -- but December got pretty busy there - so it suddenly became January before I could write it. :D
Anyway, we had a semi-full band show -- Ken and John and I played a full set of our stuff to an appreciative audience on New Year's Eve. It was pretty cool to hear ourselves playing together live for the first time - rather than just in the practice space. It's really great to hear other instruments on the songs - they really do come to life in a magical way.
We're looking forward to getting out there with a full-band in 2006!
2005 was a mixed bag of a year for me -- I put in a LOT of hard work, helping put together the Elemental Tour, as well as doing the tour, helping a bunch of indie artists with some of their business stuff, as well as my own - and trying to find just the right people for a live band. I went in a complete circle, from 'secluded songwriting mode', to 'out there touring performer mode' back to 'secluded business/band building mode'. I've been incredibly busy since returning from the tour -- it's amazing how the summer disappeared and I'm now in the midst of winter in what seems like a matter of days. :D
I met some incredible people this year - great artists - as well as getting reacquainted with some of my longstanding friends, who continue to stick by me. You are an awesome support team - thank you!
Just want to say thanks again to Ken, Jeff, Franz, Christina, Jooles, Rachel, Anthony, Geoff, Catherine, Shauna, Melissa, Olaf, Andrew, Chris, Ellen, Suzan, Dana, Sylvia, Brady, Howard, TJ, Kary, Kera, Tamara, Bill, Troy, Dave, Carrie, Michael, Mikhial, Joao, Mitch, Vikki, Brent, Darren, John, Chris B, Dan B, Nathan, Robyn, Coleman, Evan, Michael B., Lindsay, Larry B., Colleen, David, David D, Ember, Ikol, Harley, Sophia and Sean!!, Matt, Anita, Ang, Seth, the Wells Festival Folk and Mountain Mosaic Festival of the Arts Folk - you are the best - thank you for all the work you do! - all of you have really made 2005 a great one for me. I appreciate you and your help, support and friendship!
These people pitched in to help with stuff to support the band, or help me out, gave us places to stay while on tour, helped brighten our days, were a support and sounding board, inspired us, gave us a place to be creative and free, showed confidence in our ongoing goals - amongst many other touching and much appreciated gestures. A heartfelt THANK YOU!!!!
And for all of the people who have supported us by buying our cd, sending us messages of love and support - as always, our thanks goes to you. We have had wonderful people write us from all over the world, from as far away as Germany, UK, South America, Asia - hope you are all doing well!
On tap for 2006 -- some live shows, some more acoustic shows and more touring about, recording and raising money to get us to the UK for two weeks! Also, lots of creative projects that will hopefully come to fruition in full or in part this year. Fingers crossed! :D
